Flights, ferries, classes cancelled
National flag carrier Philippine Airlines, meanwhile, was forced to cancel 16 domestic flights in the central Philippines. However, it said all other flights to domestic areas as well as international flights would push through yesterday.
Affected were the flights from Manila to the cities of Roxas, Naga, Iloilo, Kalibo, Legaspi, Tagbilaran, and back. Another PAL flight to and from Cebu and Iloilo was likewise scrapped.
Air Philippines also suspended its flights to San Jose, Mindoro and Iloilo, while Asian Spirit suspended its flights to Kalibo, Marinduque and Palawan.
