Taipan Lucio Tan owns enough helicopters to use a different one every day of the week. Which is not to say Mr. Tan shuns other forms of transportation. At a recent provincial meeting of businessmen where he was the guest of honor, Mr. Tan arrived in a tricycle (no, it wasn't made of gold). That wasn't all, Mr. Tan—whose sartorial tastes run along the polo barongs favored by the security men of sonic of his supplies—wore slippers to the meeting. Needless to say, everybody else, including the waiters, wore shoes.
