ILOILO CITY---The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) has identified six other possible fund sources for the construction of the Iloilo International Airport if negotiations with the German government bank Kreditstanstalt fur Wideraubau (Kfw) fails. NEDA regional director Truman Cainglet, in a letter to officials here, identified them as Japan’s Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund, Miyazawa Initiative, United Kingdom, Asian Development Bank, World Bank, and through the build-operate-transfer scheme. The proposed New Iloilo Domestic Trunkline Airport of International Standards will be constructed along the tri-boundaries of the towns of San Miguel, Cabatuan, and Sta. Barbara for P3.4 billion.
